Description
A dwarf (1 – 1.20 m) variety with a nutty, aromatic flavour.
The plants and cobs are easy on the eye and the kernels pop beautifully! Kernels vary in colour from dark blue to greyish-black and have a silvery shimmer.
Individual plants send out plenty of side shoots and often yield five or more 10 cm-long cobs. Plants are healthy and robust.
NegroCine makes a pretty popcorn; drying cobs also make a great decoration at home, in the shop or at the market stand.
We recommend an early greenhouse start in April, particularly in northern latitudes, as full ripening when direct-sown may be hampered by cooler summers.
