Description
Giulia is a very compact, juicy, crunchy ‘lettuce-leaved‘ basil. The variety particularly impressed with its very good flavour and above-average bolting resistance. The curly, juicy green leaves are very large and heavily curled. Due to its compact growth, this variety almost resembles a small lettuce and is well-suited for container growing.
Kultur: prevent waterlogging. Good intercropping with tomato.
Sow: from april, plantation frost-free mid-may. Depth 0,2 – 0,5cm. 18 – 24 °C, 10 – 14 days.
1-3 seeds per pot, enough warmth and low coverage of soil (light germinator).
Plant distance: ca. 20 x 20 cm, while intercropping even closer.
Harvest outdoors: frome june.
